Up to date with vaccs, worm, teeth, good with farrier/catch/load/box/trim. A mother’s dream, handled on a daily basis by my two young daughters and their friends! He is genuine and trustworthy, he’s at the gate waiting for us every morning! Bomb-proof on the roads, on and off leadrein in the busiest of traffic, not phased by tractors, trailers, lorries, motorbikes, buses etc. Smudge has been to pony camp with us for the last three years, proving to be the most popular pony to ride! Shetland x New Forest. Fantastic Forward Going Lead Rein Pony. Approx 11.1 hh Chestnut Gelding, 10 Yrs this year. Fabulous little cheeky chap. Good in Traffic, to Load, with Vet, Farrier etc, etc. mixes with any other horses. Fully up to date with Worming, Jabs and teeth. Done in January. He hacks out , goes to shows with my 3 year old son. Flies round lead rein jumping, He's great fun and quick. He would be great at games as quick to turn and loves being used. He will stand and be brushed, feet picked out by our children. Unfortunatley my little boy is just not bothered and rides very rarely, he would rather play tractors. My 6 yr old daughter has ridden and jumped him off lead in the menage with no problems, he can be strong although only in a snaffle. He is standing in the field day after day doing nothing, and really needs someone to ride and have fun on him. He stands at the trailer at shows munching all day long no problem. He is cheeky, typical Shetland in him, and he can't be led by a little one or he would pull them over, but with me he just toddles along beside. When being ridden I only hold the tip of the lead just so I'm there for my little one incase he needs me, but he stops for him when told and trots along, even canters along side you in his little steps. He's a great fun pony thats wasted at the moment. He’s never sick or sorry, lives on fresh air, currently in at night out all weathers in day. He does get Sweet itch in summer but with his rug and just normal fly spray it's controlled no problem. No need to hide him away, its easily prevented. Perfect Loan Home Wanted. I am searching for a loan home for my 14.2h welshX. She is 9 years old and I have had her since she was 18 months old. I would love to find someone that has lots more time than I have so she can receive more attention and riding than I can give her at the moment. She is a fun girl but can be strong and needs a confident and competent rider, but with the right person she would make a wonderful horse for someone. She has never done any games but I do think with the right training she would excel in that area. Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning Centre based in Markfield are looking for committed volunteers to help with the care of the 7 rescue horses used for this work and help with running the sessions. We are a very alternative Organisation where the horses are kept and handled as naturally as they can be, We also do horses training for any horse owner who wants to better riding or just build up a better realtionship with their horse.
